Cascade Handcrafted Log Homes is owned and operated by business partners Dan Coulter and Markus Dehaas. We offer our customers the skill and knowledge developed over 30 years dedicated to excellence in the art of log home building.
Markus and Dan are hands-on craftsmen involved in every element of the construction of each project. From hand-picked timber selection to reassembly of every custom home we build, the Cascade crew can proudly deliver quality and value in materials and workmanship.

To avoid the negative effect of mass production, we deliver a limited number of projects each year. What we do - we do very well.
Planning and building a custom log home requires evaluation of many options. Cascade staff welcome the opportunity to discuss the merits of wood species, joinery styles, building methods, detail packages, production values, accessories, cost, etc. We are often able to make suggestions that improve structural, aesthetic and budget bottom lines.

Cascade concentrates on building with Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir timber because they are the best all-climate species available for log building. We advise our customers to spend money on the best wood or be prepared to spend it on maintenance issues down the road. We will work with any species on request.
